Female Care Worker Required for Long Package (12 Hour shifts) Day/Night

We have work available in the borough of Hillingdon (HA5 - Pinner) (Long Shifts - 12-hour)

Avant healthcare is a domiciliary care provider that places care and support workers with families who require your service in their local community. We are looking for Care and support workers with compassion and kindness.

Our team is currently looking for an experienced carer to urgently cover 12-hour day and night shifts for a customer in her early 60s who is living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and is under palliative care.

The customer is fully able to communicate using her voice but is completely dependent on the carer for all transfers, continence support, personal care, and feeding due to loss of physical mobility.

The role requires a carer who is confident and experienced in supporting complex care needs, including the use of a CPAP mask and flushing a PEG tube. Previous experience working with individuals living with MND or similar neurological conditions is highly desirable.

We are looking for someone who demonstrates compassion, professionalism, and a positive attitude when supporting individuals with high care needs.

The customer’s home environment is clean, welcoming, and supportive. The successful carer will also be working alongside a dedicated and experienced team.

What does being a Care Assistant involve?

• Personal Care such as assist with showering/bathing, dressing, medication etc
• Practical Support such as laundry, cleaning, preparing and cooking meals and taking people out to the shops, doctors or social events.
• Specialized Care - Supporting people with specialist needs
• Helping clients with their everyday duties
• Managing different medical conditions like dementia, autism, challenging behaviour
• Household duties, cooking, cleaning and general running of their home
• Personal Care such as assist with showering/bathing, dressing, medication etc

Carer Requirements:

• Proof Right to work In the UK
• Comfortable travelling to different houses delivering care (No Car required)
• Valid DBS check
• Good written and spoken English language
• Reliable and trustworthy as lone working is required
• Have a caring and nurturing personality
