Join AVANT Homecare as a Live-In Carer in the Virginia Waters (GU25) area

We are looking for a female live-in carer with experience and someone who possesses compassion and kindness. Avant Health is a domiciliary care company that places care and support workers with families who require your services in their local community.

Below are the customer's requirements and expectations:

Are you physically fit to transfer a client who is 5.5 feet tall and weighs about 70kg (approx.), has no movement from the waist down, so she will need to be transferred using the Hoist machine?

Carers need to be prepared to dress the client and get her ready for her hospital and GP appointments

Cooking is involved; the carer needs to be prepared to cook meals.

The customer is completely bed-bound/chair-bound.

The customer requires a clean environment and would like to have the carer to always be active around the house.

Care calls are long hours, a living carer for 7 days, 10 hours working, and during the night is rest time, also during the day is a break of 4 hours.

A room is available for a carer, equipped with sleeping facilities, a shower, and a private bathroom, as well as access to cooking facilities.

The customer has an alcohol addiction and may sometimes exhibit challenging behaviours, including shouting, screaming, and talking to herself.

An ideal candidate should be someone over 30 years old and with experience in care, and who is aware of how to manage alcohol addiction

Live In Carer Requirements:

• One years’ experience in care (would be a plus if you have managed a client with Alcohol Addiction)
• Right to work in the UK
• Valid DBS check/ or willing to apply for new DBS
• Good written and spoken English language
• Reliable and trustworthy as lone working is required
• Passion and commitment to provide outstanding care
